Each piece of furniture is individually hand coloured with specially
formulated stains, then carefully bruised to add character
and stimulate age. They are then hand polished to give the
deep rich patina which is so characteristic of Bevan Funnells
mahogany

and hand finished to create the subtle variations in shade
that enables it to sit comfortably alongside original antiques.

Bevan Funnell have skilfully
enhanced the charm of the
furniture by the introduction of banding in English burr
yew.
The Avena collection is an exiting innovation, using only the
finest mahogany, they have replaced the traditional curl mahogany
veneers with attractive and unusual swirl veneers, perfectly
framed by yewtree crossbanding with a black inlaid line. Simply
stunning.

With its unique beauty and richness of character
can be seen at its best by Bevan Funnell's skilful art of veneering,
crossbanding and quartering . Depending how it is cut Walnut
can be seen with stripe, curl or burr markings
